BLACKPINK’s Jisoo’s K-drama Newtopia: Release Date, Where to Watch, & Everything You Need to Know

If you are a fan of Zombie apocalypse stories and also happen to be a fan of BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, you are not going to want to miss the upcoming K-drama Newtopia.

Based on Han Sangwoon’s novel Influenza (Influenza in Korean), Newtopia is here to fill the Zombie-shaped hole All of Us Are Dead left in our hearts and fill it with a side dose of romance. Arriving in 2025 and starring Jisoo, Newtopia is directed by Yoon Sunghyun, whose name you might recognize from Netflix’s 2020 movie Time to Hunt.

The show’s script was co-penned by Han Jinwon (whom you might also recognize from a little movie called Parasite — you know, the first non-English movie to win Best Picture at the Oscars) and A Shop for Killers’ Ji Hojin— so to say expectation is stacked would be an understatement.

Back in August, Variety reported that Jisoo would lead the cast of the zombie thriller, and fans have been dying to know more ever since. Well, we don’t have to anymore because Newtopia has locked in a 2025 release date. Below, find out everything you need to know about the project.
