Kim Soo-hyun, Jun Ji-hyun, Doh Kyung-soo in 2025 K-dramas

The coming year is shaping up to be a busy one for Kim Soo-hyun, Jun Ji-hyunand Doh Kyung-sooas they’re set to star in the upcoming South Korean series “Knock-Off,” “Tempest,” and “The Manipulated,” respectively, which are all slated for a 2025 release.

Kim, Jun, and Doh’s upcoming series were announced at a streaming platform’s content showcase in Singapore, which includes a sneak peek at its storyline, co-stars, and other tidbits of what viewers can expect.

‘Knock-Off’

Kim Soo-hyun was announced as the lead star of “Knock-Off” where he will be joined by award-winning actress Jo Bo-ah. Set during the aftermath of the 1997 financial crisis, it tells the story of a broke man named Kim Sung-joon (Kim) who, in a desperate attempt to rebuild his life, turns to counterfeiting.

‘Tempest’

Jun and Kang Dong-won are joined by “Star Trek” star John Cho in the upcoming series “Tempest,” which will be co-directed by Kim Hee-Won and Heo Myung-Haeng. The cast also includes Michael Gaston, Spencer Garrett, Christopher Gorham, Joel Dela Fuente, Alice Hannah-Kim, Brooke Smith, Jacob Bertrand, Romy Rosemont, and Tom Lenk.

The drama revolves around former United Nations ambassador Mun-ju (Jun) and San-ho (Kang) who are in a race against time to uncover the mysterious attacker who threatens the Korean peninsula’s safety.

‘The Manipulated’

Turning into a villainous role, Doh will portray the antagonist of “The Manipulated” which also stars Ji Chang-wook. The series centers on Tae-jung (Ji) who intends to take revenge on the mysterious Yo-han (Doh) who orchestrated his downfall.

‘Hyper Knife’

In the upcoming drama, Park Eun-bin will take on the role of Seok, a tortured neurosurgeon, who operates as a “back-alley surgeon” after she was tossed aside by her mentor (Sul Kyung-gu).

‘Unmasked’

Accomplished investigative journalists Oh So-ryong (Kim Hye-soo), Han Do (Jung Sung-il), and Kang Ki-ho (Joo Jong-hyuk) who are struggling to put together the pieces of their latest story which involves the mysterious disappearance of an actor 20 years ago.

‘The Murky Stream’

“All of Us Are Dead” screenwriter Chun Sung-il veers away from horror and goes into the historical romance route with “The Murky Stream” starring Rowoon, Shin Ye-eun, and Park Seoham.

‘Nine Puzzles’

Kim Da-mi will channel her inner action star with “Nine Puzzles” where she will portray Yi-na, a criminal profiler who comes face-to-face with Han Sa-em (Son Suk-ku), who helps her uncover the truth behind her uncle’s murder.

‘Low Life’

Oh Hee-dong (Yang Sejong) finds himself working under his uncle Oh Gwan-seok’s (Ryu Seung-ryong) tutelage, where Hee-dong discovers Gwan-seok’s legal and illegal means of earning money. The uncle-and-nephew duo soon find themselves in a rush to salvage a priceless treasure before other hunters arrive.

‘Moving’ season two

Season two of the hit Korean series “Moving” was confirmed to be in the works, which tells the story of three high school students who discover they have superpowers, much to the shock of their parents. It was also reported that it will premiere in 2026, with details of its lead stars and storyline to be unknown.
